The Department of Administrative Services, Energy Management Unit is accepting applications for a
part time Planning Analyst (Data Systems) to work 20 hours per week.
Summary:
Analyze statistical data and the methods of collection for the state's energy database and prepare
quarterly and annual reports highlighting the results of investment in energy efficiency projects.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary contact for the State Energy Management office for all training, data input,
analysis, communication, and quarterly/annual reporting associated with the state's energy
database.
Advises and instructs designated personnel in coding, editing and quality control procedures for data
acquisition and processing activities to ensure the integrity of data residing in and reported from the
state's energy database.
Prepares quarterly and annual energy reports that summarize the results of past investments in
energy efficiency projects and the plans for future investments.
Uses these data and reports to focus agency attention on high energy-use buildings and
opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Develops and manages a state-wide energy efficiency communication campaign that includes the
updating of "Sunspot" with documents and links, the recruiting of new energy advocates, and the
publicizing of the energy efficiency webpage.
Provides technical assistance and consultation to agency staff on questions regarding utility data
input, reporting, utility contracts, and the status of active energy efficiency projects.

Serves as the principal contact for the Financial Data Management group (DAS) in identifying
database system bugs and in documenting enhancements.
Reviews and researches applicable energy regulations and rebate and incentive programs and
makes recommendations as to their potential impact on state energy efficiency activities.
Recognizes that everyone we come into contact with is a customer; treats all with courtesy, respect
and professionalism, striving to exceed customer service expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in statistics,
mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other related discipline.
Experience: Three years' professional experience in the design or development of programs for the
collection and analysis of data. Each additional year of approved work experience may be
substituted for one year of required formal education at the graduate level only.
License/Certification: Valid NH driver's license and access to transportation for use in statewide
travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to those with direct experience with
energy projects or programs. Familiarity with the Environmental Protection Agency's Portfolio
Manager program is also preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to multitask
numerous projects of varying scopes and purposes. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Word and Excel software.
